Holiday Shopping List: Gifts for Your Mom

Hanukkah and Christmas are right around the corner, and we know you haven’t completed your tween shopping yet. (But if you have, we’re giving you some major props). We know one of the most difficult people to shop for is your mom, because sure you know all about tween fashion trends, but what clothes would your mom want to wear? She’s the most stylish mom on the block (so obvi you got it from your momma), but if she’s a bit picky, shopping can be tough.

FYI — your favorite tween boutique, Frankie’s on the Park, also has clothes for your stylish mamacita, so you won’t have to worry about whether or not she’ll wear the pieces you pick. She’d be crazy not to! So while you’re picking out a gift for your BFF Secret Santa party, you can also shop for your mom… and yourself.

The Central Park West Silk Back Sweater is the perfect combo of comfy and chic… just what your momma needs. It’s super soft and cozy (which she’ll love when she’s running around all day on super mom duty), but the silk back also gives the sweater a sophisticated update that can take her straight to all of those fancy holiday parties she has to attend.

While you probably dread Sundays (ugh, is it winter break yet??), they’re probably one of your mom’s favorite days of the week. No work, no early morning practice to drive you too, and definitely no stress. Plus, you love your Wildfox Kids jumpers, so don't you think mom would like for herself? That's why the Wildfox Dear Sunday Tee is a great gift option for her because it’s super comfy and expresses just how she feels—without even lifting a finger or opening her mouth. Sunday funday, indeed.

We’re sure this one will probably go “missing” from your mom’s closet quite often… but how could you resist stealing it?! The wintery ski print on the Vintage Havana Ski Aspen Sweatshirt is simply adorable, and we swear once you put it on, you’ll never want to take it off. It’s just. that. soft.

Stay Comfy This Week!

Phew! What a week this has been, are we right, tween fashion lovers? From Thanksgiving to Black Friday to eating leftovers and visiting family, the past few days have been a flurry of tween shopping sprees and—well—even more tween shopping sprees.

Good thing today is Cyber Monday, because as much as we know you want to keep on shopping at your favorite tween boutique (ahem, Frankie’s on the Park), getting out of bed to do so just seems like too much effort. Especially since you’re probably back to school tomorrow. Ugh. Fortunately, Christmas break is right around the corner. AND fortunately, you can still look cute while staying cozy under the covers while you complete your shopping list online.

As if you hadn’t stuffed your face enough since Thanksgiving, we suggest getting comfy in the Zara Terez Toaster Party Leggings mostly because they’re adorable, but also because someone ate the last remaining piece of pie. To pair with the leggings, throw on the me.n.u Girls Love Sweater for a cute and comfy look, perfect for lounging around the house and drinking bottomless mugs of hot cocoa. And if you absolutely, definitely, must, have to go outside, top off your look with the Malibu Sugar purple down vest for extra warmth and extra style.

You’ll look cute enough to leave the house, but you’ll be so cozy you won’t even want to leave your bed. Well, at least until tomorrow morning when the alarm goes off.

Top 5 Gifts You Need To Add To Your Wish List This Holiday Season

Christmas and Hanukkah are seriously right around the corner, and as a tween shopping addict, you’ve probably been spending all your time choosing gifts for your besties and family members and forgot to write a wish list of your own. Don’t worry, we’ve got your tween fashion holiday wish list right here. Or you can just tell Santa you want one of everything from our tween boutique. It is a wish list, after all.

#1 - Stocking Stuffer

Malibu Sugar’s Cake in a Jar bath scrub is the perfect small (but absolutely necessary) item to add to your list. If your skin has been feeling kind of dry thanks to this prematurely freezing weather, this scrub will bring your skin back to life. Just rub the exfoliant all over your skin and add water! You’ll feel totally rejuvenated and moisturized. Plus, you’ll smell like a cupcake. So… there’s that.

#2 - Cozy New Pullover

After opening all of your presents, all you want to do is lounge on the couch and watch your favorite Holiday movies with a plate full of cookies and a steaming mug of hot cocoa. Why not pull on your cozy new Wildfox Kids Rainbow Deer Sweatshirt? There’s no rule about looking super cute when you’re trying to get cozy.

#3 - Soft Sleepover Blanket

The tween fashionistas were nestled all snug in their beds, while visions of emojis danced in their heads…

Winter break is great time to catch up and spend quality time with family, but we think you should take advantage of the time off from school and start planning as many slumber parties with your BFFs as possible… Which is why the Butter Emoji Blanket is a must on your wish list. You and your girls are ob-sessed with emojis, so we see no problem for going beyond the text conversation and incorporating smileys into your non-virtual life.

#4 - Super Cute Phone Charger

Speaking of phones, you’re probably so attached to your phone (aren’t we all, really?) that it’s by your side at all times… and probably eternally running on less than 10% battery. The Back Me Up Mobile Charger is small enough to throw in your bag before heading out for a tween shopping spree and cute enough to go with your phone case. You’ll ‘heart’ this present as soon as you plug in your iPhone.

#5 - New Charms

You already have the me.n.u charm necklace, but we think it’s time to give it a charming update. Add your initials or a crystal smiley charm (to go with your new blanket) to your necklace for a shimmery update to your everyday jewelry. A girl can never have too much shimmer. It’s simply impossible.

Brand Spotlight: Zara Terez

Attention tween shopping addicts! Our new favorite brand of the moment (among all the others at our tween boutique… seriously it’s impossible to choose) is Zara Terez! This awesome brand is all about fun, and we’re all about that. Best friends Zara and Amanda started the brand by simply putting their crazy imaginations to work. Most of their designs are simply their wild visions printed onto clothing and accessories that tween fashion stars—like yourself—then rock to fit their own personal styles. And there’s nothing better than that in their (super, crazy, fun, and stylish) minds.

For you.

Girls Diamond Baseball Top

If you’re the type of girl who isn’t really into colored lipstick or rocking a diamond on every finger (we can’t all be Iggy Azalea), try a shirt on for size. This Zara Terez top makes a statement, but keeps you stylish—without going overboard—with the simple black baseball sleeves.

Headphone Backpack

If you still think the graphics may be a bit too bold for your everyday school style, go for a Zara Terez backpack with a colorful headphone graphic print instead. You get to show off your fun and adventurous side without going too crazy. Plus, you’ll have a ton of space for all of your school essentials.

For mom.

Zara Terez Leggings

Nope, we didn’t forget about mom. (She deserves something special for herself for taking you on your tween shopping spree at Frankie’s on the Park, doesn’t she?). Whether she’s into understated, chic style, or she has your bright, bold fashion sense, Zara Terez has the leggings to make her spin class fun. A little less sweaty and a lot more stylish.

8 Dresses for 8 Days of Hanukkah!

Looking for a reason to pull your super-fly bat mitzvah dress out from the depths of your closet? It’s your favorite dress you own, not only because you looked like a total tween fashion star in your party pics, but because it also bring back some pretty ah-mazing memories with your BFFs. Well lucky you—Hanukkah is quickly approaching, and you know what that means… 8 DAYS OF DRESSES.

Sure you could just wear dresses you already own and love, but what’s the fun in that. You have to hit up your favorite tween boutique—Frankie’s on the Park, we assume—to pick up some Hanukkah gifts for your besties anyway, soooo why not buy something(s) for yourself? The holiday season is certainly the time to do so. We’re huge fans of the whole “one gift for them, one for me” rule. Talk about a tween shopping spree.

Day 1: Start with a bang.

Kick off the eight days of celebration with a bright, bold pop of color. We’re thinking… fuschia, maybe? Definitely. The Un Deux Trois Girls’ Fuschia Dress makes quite the statement and starts the festivities with some serious fun.

Day 2: Dress it up.

After a night of seriously fun fashion, turn it down a notch and go for a simple LBD, like the Show Me Your Mumu Boyd Babydoll Dress, and amp up the glam factor with some glitzy accessories.

Day 3: Keep it classy.

Still on that haute tween fashion high? Keep with the classy and sophisticated theme, and give it a twist with pretty peek-a-boo lace detailing. The Miss Behave Girls’ Lace Skater Dress will keep you ladylike while you’re lighting the menorah (and opening presents).

Day 4: Super duper sleek.

Girly, classy, and now super chic. The Amanda Uprichard Cricket Dress looks like it was stolen from your chic momma’s closet, but nope… it’s all yours! You can show off your trendsetting style instincts while keeping it loose enough to keep stuffing your face with all of those incrEDIBLE Hanukkah foods. And it’s only day four!

Day 5: Take a risk.

Ready for another major risk? Dress on the cutting edge—without going over the edge—in the Kingdom Strapless Studded Dress. The only word you need to know is “studded”: It’s equal parts chic and edgy… just like you.

Day 6: Sophisticated six.

Hanukkah is nearing the end, but your style will never stop. You have some sparkly surprises in store for the last two nights, so go for a simple look day six: the Miss Behave Girls’ Metallic Ponte Dress. It has just enough shimmer to keep you festive and just enough flare to keep you fashionable.

Day 7: Give them a hint.

Tonight’s the night to be full-on g-l-a-m-o-r-o-u-s (as Fergilicious would say… or spell). The me.n.u Karen Dress gives your family and friends a hint of your glittery side, without going full-on disco ball. Oh… but just you wait.

Day 8: Go ultra glam.

You started with a bang, so you need to go out with a boom! If you thought last night’s outfit was glitzy, slip on the Stella M’Lia Bimba Dress and be the star of the celebration! Pair it with the super sparkly Yosi Samra flats for major bling, or go for the gold with the super chic Steve Madden metallic heels. You’ll be shining brighter than your Best Dressed trophy. OK, so your family probably doesn’t give awards for Hanukkah, but everyone loves new traditions.

Plan Your Thanksgiving Outfit!

Thanksgiving Outfits

For tween fashion lovers, the holidays are all about family, friends… and finding the perfect outfit for the occasion, of course. (You never know when mom’s going to pull out the camera for a photo op). Whether your family loves a formal celebration, or your Thanksgiving dinner is more on the casual side, your favorite tween boutique—Frankie’s on the Park, duh—has the perfect outfit for you. We know… blah, blah, blah. Let’s get to the tween shopping!

Formal Feast

A sit-down dinner at the dining room table with a side of turkey calls for a dress to impress. The crochet lace dress from Un Deux Trois is in a neutral navy blue shade (meaning any color of accessories is acceptable), but with the touch of pearls on the waistline, jewelry isn’t really needed. Unless you’re a tween fashion star with a serious love of bling—we don’t blame you. In that case, go simple with your signature me.n.u charm necklace. Don’t you want your pumpkin-pie-induced smile to be the star of the show?

Laid-back Bash

If your family prefers gathering around the TV to watch the football game rather than carving the turkey at a fancy table, your Thanksgiving look can be more casual. Go for the me.n.u side zip jeggings for their stylish edge and stretchy finish… Phew, more room in the pants for an extra helping of stuffing! Then complete the look with a comfy, simple Malibu Sugar sleeveless top and throw on your favorite me.n.u draped sweater and voila—the perfect cozy autumn outfit.

Don’t forget… the next day is Black Friday! We know you’ll be doing your tween shopping, so don’t forget to stop by Frankie’s on the Park to gobble up some seriously stylish duds for the holidays.

Gifts for Your Besties: Girly, Boho, Techie, and On the Go-Go

BFF Gifts

After a long week of school, extracurriculars, and just being a fabulous tween fashion star in general, a weekend full of sleepover birthday parties is just what you need. Even though you and your besties celebrate the weekend with tween shopping sprees nearly every Saturday (we can’t blame you, Frankie’s on the Park is full of shopaholics, too), your BFF’s b-day is your chance to pamper her to the fullest. You can’t go wrong with a gift from Frankie’s. It is her favorite tween boutique, after all. Doesn’t she have great taste?

Girly Girl

For the fashionable friend who would never sacrifice style for practicality. She’s always complaining that her purse is far too big and bulky to carry around from the mall, to the movie theater, to dinner, but there’s NO way she would use a fanny pack. The Disco Crossbody Party Pouch is the perfect size for her essentials—phone, cash, and lip gloss—and it just so happens to be super cute. Who doesn’t love a neon?

Boho Babe

This friend always rocks a braid in her hair, and flowy maxi skirts are her go-to for easy, breezy, everyday style. The Skin Bling from Confetti and Friends—think gold(!) temporary tattoos, ladies—will give her a little bit of extra boho edge. Even Beyonce rocks it. And if Queen Bey love it, well, so should the rest of the tween fashion world.

Trendy Techie

For the friend who’s always on her phone. She’s not texting or checking her Insta, she’s taking loads of selfies to document every memory of her time with best friends. Enter the Gabba Goods #TheSelfie Bluetooth Camera Remote. Now, she can change up her tunes and take hands-free selfies (what a relief) with this handy-dandy device. Say #Cheese!

Jetsetter Style

This one’s always on the go. From soccer practice to music rehearsal to vaca with her fam, she always seems to be traveling somewhere. The Lolo Airplane Key Ring and Luggage Tag will ensure that she travels in style… as if she wasn’t already. She’ll always know exactly which bag is hers, so she’ll never lose her favorite Zara Terez, Un Deux Trois, or Malibu Sugar goodies from Frankie’s on the Park again! Sounds like smooth sailing… and fashionable flying!

Introducing P.S. Frankie’s: Your Brand New BFF

P.S. Frankie's Personal Shopping

You never thought you’d have to say this, but you’re getting a bit too busy for your weekly tween shopping sprees. You and your besties used to stop by Frankie’s on the Park every. single. Saturday. But now, with a schedule full of homework, after-school extracurriculars, bat mitzvahs, and (hopefully) naps, you’re completely booked. Like, you barely even have time to catch up on Pretty Little Liars—and that’s when you know.

No, we’re not here to make you even more stressed. In fact, we have some pretty fabulous news for tween fashion lovers who barely have time to take a breath, let alone restock their winter wardrobe (it’s sneaking up on us, girls). Frankie’s on the Park recently launched our brand new P.S. Frankie’s personal shopping service! That means easy shopping during your busy-bee schedule… you don’t even have to leave your bedroom.

All you have to do is head over to the next time you need a mini break from writng that English paper, and your custom shopping experience is well on its way.

  1. Fill out the P.S. Frankie’s style survey.
  2. Create a wishlist of your favorite Zara Terez, Malibu Sugar, Vintage Havana, and Un Deux Trois picks from our tween boutique.

P.S… Frankie’s loves you!

Brands We Love: me.n.u

me.n.u.: Brands we Love

It’s no secret that Frankie’s on the Park is the go-to tween boutique for budding fashionistas. After all, you shop here. We love shining the spotlight on on our trendsetting tween fashion stars (check out our Girl of the Week!), so this week, we thought we’d send some love to one of our favorite brands — me.n.u! With glam tees, statement accessories, and to-die-for denim, me.n.u has the perfect products to add to your closet. So, maybe by a few hangers first.

me.n.u is always on top of the latest trends in tween shopping, which means sparkle and shine all the time. Just like the stunning Frankie’s girls, which is why we know you’ll fall in lo.v.e with them almost as much as we have. Actually, probably more. Below is a list of some of our faves from me.n.u. Fair warning: it was pretty impossible to choose.

The shirt.

No one likes to get super dressed-up for school. Who wants to sit at a desk wearing an itchy, stuffy, uncomfortable shirt? Not these tweens. The BFF Tee from me.n.u is simple, stylish, and comfy. Oh, and cropped and sparkly, of course.

The jeans.

Denim is the answer to every style conundrum… it just goes with everything! The Acid Wash Skinny Jeans are perfect when you’re in a hurry and need to throw something on. They just happen to be super cute, as well.

The bag.

Skip the typical backpack and go for a tote. Why, you ask? Because it’s just too hard to pass up the Canvas Tote Bags from me.n.u. There’s enough room for all of your books, plus it’s big enough to use a weekend bag for getaways with your family. We’re only saying this because we know you won’t want to let it leave your side.

The swag.

Your school outfit still needs one more thing. Hmmm what could it be? Probably the “Be Your Selfie” pencil pouch. Whether you use it for your colored pens and highlighters, or as a cosmetics bag for your lip glosses (we can’t do without ours, either), the pouch allows for storage and style. And who doesn’t love a selfie?

Mom and Daughter Bonding Weekend: Shopping Spree!!

Mom and daughter shopping spree

So you’ve been back at school for a few weeks now, right tween fashion lovers? That means more fun gossiping in the hallways with your BFFs and less time at home with mom… who totally misses you, by the way. And while you may think the weekends are for football games and tween shopping sprees with your besties, your momma deserves a little bit of TLC. How about a mom and daughter spending sesh at Frankie’s on the Park.

What’s that? Oh, you didn’t know your favorite tween boutique also had stylish clothes for your fashionable mom? Okay, we understand that mommy-daughter matching is SO last season, but you and mom both need comfy and stylish clothes for Fall. So we picked some must-haves that you can both pick up at Frankie’s this weekend. Ready, set, start your list!

Make a Statement

What better way to make a statement than with a statement sweater? While mom can let the world know how much she needs a cup of coffee with her “You can call me anything you want, just don’t call me in the morning” Wildfox sweatshirt, you can wear your Vintage Havana “OMG!” sweater to express your excitement about spending some QT with the momz… and her wallet!

Cozy Chic

Yes, sweatpants can be stylish outside of gym class… no matter what mom may say. And trust us, she’ll be in love with this trend in no time. The Monrow Satin Sweatpants ((LINK)) are equal parts classy and comfy, perfect when paired with a tee and booties for a weekend shopping spree with her #1 girl. We didn’t forget about you, tweens, because the Miss Behave Dot Felicity Sweatpants ((LINK)) will keep you cool at school without looking like you just rolled out of bed. (Even though you probably did).

Sneaky Style

The finishing touch to any stylish ensemble? The shoes. And if you’re not as excited as we are about the latest sneaker trend… well, you must have a much higher pain tolerance than we do. While your Dolce Vita Slip-On Sneakers ((LINK)) put some fun into your day-to-day school ensemble with their bright pink shade, mom’s silver Gordie Sneakers ((LINK)) are both elegant and run-from-soccer-practice-to-the-grocery-store ready. Just don’t wear them on the same day. You know, to avoid a “mom stole my look” fashion faux-pas.
